Lugar de exhibión: JORNADA CIUDAD, TERCER ESPACIO Y DESIGUALDADES CONTEMPORÁNEAS Link a Jornada: www.idensitat.net/es/espacio-e/1450-asimetrias-jornada Palabras claves: Asimetría: flujos energéticos, fábricas y polígonos industriales, industria cultural, sistemas de autoobservación. 3.-PROCESO DE INVESTIGACIÓN: Las asimetrías que nos rodean individual y colectivamente se refieren, no tanto a las partes que componen el desequilibrio, como a los propios filtros y mecanismos que usamos para observarlas.&nbsp; Como si hubiera que enfrentar de algún modo la paradoja de tener que pensar los territorios mentales, sociales, medioambientales y tu propia vida en la clave lineal de la asimetría (propiedad de los elementos para mostrar los cambios que sufren las partes) teniendo que distinguir binariamente qué parte corresponde al original y cuál es la que sufre desigualdad. Incluir un tercer elemento, el observador (“el tercer incluido”) supondrá problematizar la teoría de los opuestos atendiendo no sólo al objeto de nuestra mirada (asimetrías) sino también a los sujetos que observan. Comencé por considerar mis desplazamientos geográficos como un mecanismo de autoosbervación que concebía mi propio guion como una ruta de vida, experimentando mi participación en el mundo como un fluido energético que transita entre distintos sistemas socio-ecológicos.&nbsp; Después de vivir ocho años en la ruralidad del hemisferio sur (Chile) paso a residir temporal y voluntariamente en el hemisferio norte, en un espacio urbanizado. Este hecho constituye una toma de conciencia de la forma en que observo distintos lugares, como si fueran enclaves históricos de los cambios metabólicos de producción, donde lo rural (sistemas abiertos y autosuficientes) y lo urbano (sistemas cerrados y fallidos en tanto dependen de recursos externos) coexisten en asimetría, de manera similar a como lo hace el norte con respecto al sur global. La imagen del globo dividido en dos confirma los trazos de los mapas geo-políticos del norte y sur global, distinguiendo las zonas hiper-iluminadas de las oscuras, en correspondencia con los suelos urbanizados o zonas hiper-desarrolladas y los suelos rurales, subdesarrollados o no desarrollados. (corte realizado en el Geo portal SIGNA) Tracé una línea entre Fabra i Coats (centro de trabajo del grupo Asimetríes) y Bon Pastor (polígono industrial que se encuentra a pocas manzanas del primero) y realicé un corte topográfico. El dibujo obtenido fue una línea en declive. A partir del movimiento descendente que muestra esa pendiente geográfica, surgió la imagen que ha detonado la reflexión en torno a la palabra “declive”. Esta ha sido tomada como signo de una posible desaceleración y contracción sistémica de la economía de la era global, dejando vestigios como el fenómeno de “naves vacías” o “cortinas caídas” en Bon Pastor, como capas que se superponen a otros cadáveres sociales e históricos en dicho entorno. Instancia donde desplegué algunas metodologías cercanas a la entrevista, el relato autobiográfico, etnografías visual activa. Siguiendo con las metáforas de la luz, la caminata se estableció como un recorrido para comprender las transiciones entre luz y oscuridad. Esto último como la imagen de mundo forjada a partir del material simbólico de las actuales concepciones respecto a las transiciones energéticas a nivel global. Pero también para descubrir qué tan lejos se está (física y simbólicamente) de los espacios de oscuridad o de la oscuridad misma dentro de la ciudad. Para acceder a este material simbólico me propuse la idea de despertar de alguna manera lo que he llamado “memorias de la oscuridad”, las que pueden provenir de cualquier entorno, electrificado o no, ya que apuesto por la existencia de un reservorio oscuro que aún subsiste bajo la hiperiluminación urbana, pero que aún están más presentes en espacios rurales o fronterizos a lo urbano. <img Solicité a los participantes, entre otras cosas, que capturaran con sus teléfonos móviles el encuentrode la luz y la oscuridad, así como la evocación de memorias donde la oscuridad fuera protagonista. Como resultado obtuve una serie de imágenes y relatos en audio. Agosto 2019. La experiencia desarrollada en el proceso de trabajo de Asimetrías enfatizó en una percepción del territorio desde la perspectiva de la luz y oscuridad, delineando otra cartografía donde los perímetros y distancias de la oscuridad se identifican con memorias vivas, produciendo un archivo colectivo a partir de una caminata nocturna. En ella observamos con atención la frontera luz/oscuridad, como mirada frontal de los mapas nocturnos de la tierra, donde la energía abre un resquicio y establece relaciones entre la producción de los grandes relatos e imágenes y la producción industrial. La caminata buscó recoger el paradigma industrial de la energía en el espacio urbano a través de los imaginarios personales forjados en la era de la luz artificial y su posible transición hacia la oscuridad en los polígonos industriales de Bon Pastor. Mediante ejercicios rápidos de percepción y memoria recolecté algunos relatos acerca de experiencias personales con la oscuridad como ámbito, contexto o protagonista de sus personales historias. Mediante un análisis de correspondencias se muestra la proximidad o lejanía que presentan las palabras entre sí a partir de cómo éstas son utilizadas conjuntamente o no por los participantes. A partir de este diagrama y agrupación de palabras, surgen nuevos relatos y lógicas para nombrar la asimetría Luz/oscuridad. Link: 3.-PROCESO DE INVESTIGACIÓN: La casa a oscuras fue un proyecto instalativo realizado junto a la artista Nuria Cano, seleccionado en el programa de Arte público Supertrama 2019, entre el 15 y 19 de julio de 2019. Bajo la forma de una investigación de campo y el contexto de una práctica colaborativa, el dispositivo desplegado en este trabajo, consistió en generar un recorrido nocturno en un espacio des-electrificado en uno de los límites del pueblo, a orillas del río. En el contexto del Barrio Judío, se realizó la activación del entorno a partir de los contrastes que se viven en los espacios fronterizos de la ruralidad, a través de los procesos de electrificación y de los imaginarios de la oscuridad que aún subsisten en ellos. Mediante la activación del entorno de la casa con iluminación puntual, se buscó gatillar las memorias realizando un breve recorrido nocturno con los participantes.&nbsp; Con el fin de experimentar una reflexión y toma de conciencia de la luz y la oscuridad, se solicitó a los participantes evocar memorias donde la oscuridad fuera protagonista: la oscuridad de Fuente Chiquita, el sonido del río, el cielo estrellado y los círculos de luz proyectados fueron los estímulos para recopilar aquel testimonio oral. He indagado en el nexo río-máquina-luz, objeto de investigaciones anteriores, mediante rutas de reconocimiento por antiguas minicentrales hidráulicas sobre los ríos Kadagua e Ibaizabal: electrificación, hábito moderno de la claridad. Las linternas - ojos adiestrados como foco científico- replicaron en el agua la misma revelación: oscuridad fuera del haz y máxima luz en el centro, núcleo del deslumbramiento. Y esas primeras "fábricas de luz", entre molinos y ruralidad, señalando cómo desandar el camino de la luz científica, religiosa, filosófica, artística, tecnológica. Fue en Balmaseda; deslumbrada y obligada a obstruir el núcleo de luz, donde observé que la oscuridad se encontraba en el centro del círculo de luz; sol negro que traga luz en ríos electrificados, donde la intercombinación río-máquina-energía activó redes de colaboración y memoria colectiva, mostrándome el camino hacia "La Rotura": una minicentral para el autoabastecimiento, construido por su propio dueño, hijo de molinero, obra de toda una vida. Fue el "vi lo que no vi" (Lezama Lima), muerte de la mirada en el agua; punto ciego del ojo, inicio de una ceguera voluntaria, expresada en aquel sistema de abastecimiento energético: la más pequeña minicentral en funcionamiento, albor de la transición energética y del cambio civilizatorio ”. Texto para el catálogo de la Jornada &nbsp;“Puertas abiertas” Fundación BilbaoArte, Bilbao, 2018 3.-MATERIAL DE ARCHIVO Y REGISTROS GRÁFICOS.&nbsp;PROCESO DE INVESTIGACIÓN EN BALMASEDA (BIZKAIA): Un recorrido por los emplazamientos de la minihidráulica, instalada a finas del siglo XIX, como puntapié inicial de la llamada "segunda revolución industrial" y de los procesos de electrificación de la primera gran industria Vizcaína, me permitió observar in situ las formas que adopta la energía cuando se iniciaba el proyecto de la modernidad (especialmente desarrolladas en Cataluña y Euskalerría), indagando en la relación establecida entre los ríos, las máquinas y su entorno socio-ecológico. CARTOGRAFÍAS, GRÁFICOS Y DIAGRAMAS. TRABAJO DE CAMPO EN BALMASEDA (BIZKAIA): El cruce entre la minihidráulica y su contexto, la relación existente entre esta industria y su entorno, me permitió establecer un sistema de observación basado en un patrón de modelo de pequeña escala. Realicé un estudio previo que indicó, a través de gráficos de conglomerados y mapas de situación que las 29 minicentrales estudiadas estaban relacionadas con una categoría fluvial, arrojando un patrón que las caracterizaba: mientras más pequeños los saltos, potencias y caudales de la minicentral, más pequeño era el río y más lejos se estaba de la ciudad de Bilbao. TRABAJO DE CAMPO EN BALMASEDA (BIZKAIA):&nbsp; Abordé los recorridos por los ríos premunida de un juego de linternas para buceo, con las que especular sobre los efectos y reacciones poéticas de la luz en el agua a los pies de la pequeña infraestructura. Lo que en un principio pretendió ser un alumbramiento de ríos, afluentes y saltos de agua, devino en la aparición un sol negro que eclipsó el nexo agua-luz tras el cual se encaminaron mis primeros pasos. Finalmente la casi total oscuridad llenó el círculo de luz de las linternas hasta el punto de descentrar mis actuales puntos de vista hacia los núcleos de la oscuridad, planteándome nuevos paradigmas TRABAJO DE CAMPO Y EXPERIMENTACIÓN EN COLBÚN, REGIÓN DEL MAULE (CHILE): Indagué en elementos metafóricos que visibilizaran otras realidades energéticas, ficcionando mecanismos para abrir otros rangos de visibilidad y proporcionar otros registros de aquella fuerza invisible e irrepresentable que constituye el campo electromagnético en una zona de contaminación eléctrica. La luz, en esta investigación, funcionaba como transmisora de información. Su última y más gran expresión, la luz eléctrica, símbolo de la modernidad, aludía a su propia catástrofe, convirtiéndose ella misma en una premonición invisible, cuyo desenlace representaría la caída de la red eléctrica. Así, el significado de la luz en esta investigación ha visto trastocado su valor estético y de representación, para apropiarse de la imagen de un conflicto, es más, la de su propio conflicto: su
